I don't know about the new price because I am finding it really difficult to get a cab at a specific time, or at all! A week ago a driver told me it's because there are only 2 taxis operating in La Manzanilla, the rest having mechanical issues.

I also just found out that the reason an empty cab goes whizzing by without stopping is because a Melaque cab who has dropped off passengers here can't pick anyone up in La Manzanilla.

I wish there were something that could be done about this monopoly situation during this time of lack of service. I had food poisoning recently and had to hail down a local quad driver for an urgent ride home.
