La Catalina Foundation would like to take this opportunity to announce a change in our administration.

Effective July 15th, Donaldo Ponto, current Director of La Catalina Foundation, will no longer be involved in our organization in an official capacity. However, Donaldo will continue to be a valued friend of the foundation for many years to come.

A heartfelt thank you to Donaldo for five amazing years of service to our Mexican nonprofit. His unwavering commitment and dedication to La Catalina has made a lasting impact on the lives of many La Manzanilla and area students. Donaldo’s energy, enthusiasm, patience and kindness have made him a popular mentor for students, and a well-liked representative of LCF for friends and sponsors of our foundation. Under Donaldo’s leadership, our scholarship program has grown to over 70 students. He has served as contact with local businesses and governments and has represented LCF in meetings in Guadalajara, Autlán and La Huerta. We are very sad to see Donaldo leave; however, we wish him nothing but the best in his future endeavours with Four Seasons Tamarindo.


It is our pleasure to introduce our new Director, Grace Briseño Garcia. Grace comes to our organization with a background in health and wellness. Having work experience in accounting while completing her university degree in Guadalajara, Grace is excited to begin her new position as Director of La Catalina. Bilingual, knowledgeable, energetic, and athletic, Grace is looking forward to working with students, staff, and supporters of LCF, and introducing new programs that will benefit both scholarship and public-school students.

We encourage everyone to drop by the office to introduce yourself and to welcome Grace to La Manzanilla.
