Agreed, D'est, the sound of gentle rain on a metal roof is divine. To that end, I had metal awnings installed above all my doors and windows, including the bedroom's. Alas, when it rains really, really hard for an extended period of time, as happens here upon occasion, that beautiful sound morphs into a nonstop barrage of mortar fire landing directly on my awnings. AAARRGH, make it stop! Just sayin'.
