Amigos!

We've had a wonderful summer, especially thanks to the lovely music by Rick and Paul and Belen's wonderful meals. While they take a break, Juanito will take care of your drink orders from 6:45-7:45 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Our friends from the cafe are in charge of bar service on Sundays.

YOU MAY STAY PAST CLOSING TIME
Juanito will be paid to serve your drinks, turn on some lights and even fish on occasion in front of the little palapa. Mateo requests you settle up with Juanito at 7:50 p.m., even if you've just received a drink, so he can close the bar and go home. Stay as long as you like and feel free to leave glasses or bottles on the table as Juanito will clean everything up when he reports to hotel duty the following morning.

DOES MATEO REALLY HAVE A DEGREE IN JOURNALISM?
MATEO, from earlier this summer, on the message board: In addition to our menu, you may order anything your heart desires, as long as you let us know a day in advance.

CUSTOMER, to Mateo in person: I hear you only offer food if you order a day in advance.

ANOTHER TRUE STORY
CAFE CUSTOMER WHOM MATEO DID NOT RECOGNIZE: I would like to pay for my breakfast and coffee.

MATEO: I'm sorry, but I shouldn't take your money because I didn't make the breakfast or serve the coffee.

CUSTOMER: You just like to argue!
