Costalegre Amigos:
Below is a copy of the cover of my Mexico memoir, The Accidental Immigrant, which I would have called something else had I known earlier that someone had already used “my” title. You can glimpse the contents by reading the back cover—11 years in San Miguel de Allende and 10+ in La Manzanilla. Since it’s difficult to promote an English-language book in a Spanish-speaking country, I hope that some of you will want to read it. Porfa!
Ordering Information
If you are currently north of the border, you would probably save on shipping costs. The book is available in paperback from both Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com for $12.95. Although Amazon’s listings sometimes go awry, the book is never out of stock because it’s always printed on demand to fill specific orders. In addition to shipping, Barnes and Noble allows you to buy online and pick up the book at its nearest store the same day. The e-book version—Amazon Kindle or Barnes and Noble NOOK book—costs $2.99 on both sites.
If you are here in Mexico, the Kindle edition is immediately available on Amazon.com.mx for $51 MXN (today’s exchange rate); the paperback price is currently $323.96 (free shipping on international orders of more than $499 MXN).
Afterthought #1: If you are a devout Catholic, a MAGA supporter, and/or a “pro-lifer,” you probably won’t like me, but you still might enjoy my story.
Afterthought #2: I would like to dedicate this book to Gustavo Guzman, recently deceased, who helped me with my court case, stopped the animal poisoner, and tirelessly searched for my missing U.S. mail. Adios, Amigo. Que descanse en paz.
Muchas gracias,
Lynne Willard
P.S. The ending has already changed since a significant donation will allow the Overground Railroad to remain entirely underground.
