My daughter leaves for the US on Saturday and because of the activity around Tilin, she is behind in accomplishing what she came down to do in La Manzanilla, and would be hard for her to transport Tilin and sister home this Friday.
I have contacted Alejandro, who is also very busy. He is looking to see whom he can find, if anyone, to give them a ride home. We'll let you know if he has any luck.
I'm letting you know that there is a porta-potty at Everardo's that Tilin could use or, according to Alejandro, that his wheelchair can be adapted for that use. It is hard to tell what would work best.
Also, the room and bed Tilin will be using need to be dealt with so that they are ready to receive him. There are bikes and parts everywhere. Lorena is with him at the hospital and can't do it.
Also, who will be providing meals, meds and whatever he might need? The sister can do some but she is a single grandmother, and older, who needs to work to support herself and her grandson. She works all kinds of odd hours. The rest of the family seems estranged from Tilin as happens in families. I'm away until mid-December.
Alejandro has volunteered to set up the television.
I know you have your hands full but hope that things can be managed to keep Tilin safe.
I meant that the battle to save his foot was lost. You and crew have saved his life and a mere thanks will never be enough.
I hope that people will donate and keep the help ball rolling through you, the Bookstore, and Otra Vez. If not now, the need for help will appear sooner than later.
And a big thank you to all who helped/supported and are still helping Tilin. You know he appreciates them and their caring for him. Cruz
