We went to Rojo Restaurant on the beach in nearby Arroyo Seco, about a half-hour drive from La Manzanilla. The road in from the highway is rough, so be prepared for a lot of potholes. There are signs to guide you to the restaurant from the village.

The building is extraordinary- constructed entirely of bamboo, and the architecture is a marvel of engineering. Davison Collins envisioned this project for many years, and it does not disappoint.

The isolated remote setting on Playa Grande is perfect - you feel like you’re in a private tropical world, set in a vast expanse of sand and sea.

The food and service was top-quality. There is also accommodation available. Highly recommended!
