Thanks to all 16 folks who’ve brought food to our local bike repairman following the ampuatation of his second leg due to diabetes. It has been very necessary for his survival! I’ve been learning a lot about this horrible disease and how hard it is to get unsugared foods or white foods that spike sugar. Also big gaps in the food train of no days of food for him are coming up. So here’s where folks can help in another way. A Christmas food hamper whereby you can donate groceries or I will purchase and deliver. So far I’ve had a donation off 200 pesos to purchase brown rice, quinoa, lentils and fresh veggies. Makes a nutritious stew that makes many meals. Or if any of you would like to help cook, I have a 6 burner stove and oven.
