Why Awakening is Not Enough! – Talk January 5th

I will be offering an experiential talk at Casa Luz on in La Manzanilla on Friday January 5th 2024 at 7:30pm.

Presentation Title: Why Awakening is Not Enough – The Importance of Shadow Work on the Spiritual Path

Many of us imagine that by “awakening” or becoming “enlightened” to our true nature that all our pain, issues, conditioning, and trauma will naturally fall away. If this were so, we would not see repeated misuse of power or sexual misconduct among so many illumined spiritual teachers. Awakening to the light of who we are is only half the journey. But to become fully integrated and embodied in our awakening, we must do the work of facing and healing our egoic shadow. In this talk, I will explain why awakening experiences are not enough and share experiential exercises to demonstrate how we can heal and release trauma and painful conditioning so that we can fully live our awakening!

Biography: Julia Nadine Padawer, MA is a Spiritual and Therapuetic Coach and a gifted Intuitive with over 20 years’ experience. She is also Certified Meditation and Yoga Teacher. She holds a Master’s Degree is Spiritual Psychology from the University of Santa Moncia where she graduated with honors.
