Some of you are too young to remember this, but back in the day several factories, construction sites, etc., had a sign posted: "x" number of days without a safety infraction. Or something along those lines.

At Crocodile Bar and Cabanas, on Jan. 2, 2024, Mateo gladly reports the following statistics:
Days without a person posing a customer who doesn't order anything: 14 days.
Days without the LSU Tigers losing an American football game: 59 days
Days without Four Seasons Tamarindo completely draining the entire water supply from La Manzanilla: 411
Days without adding extra sugar or gluten to our margaritas: 1949 days

CHAVA TONIGHT (Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024)
Get ready to catch up with old friends and rock in front of the rocks as Chava makes his 2024 debut in La Manzanilla with his electric guitar. For those of you wishing to embrace your inner romantic, come back on Wednesday to hear Eduardo's smooth sounds with his ballads in Spanish.

Democracy wins! Crocodile Bar wins! Thanks to everyone who supported Crocodile Bar and Cabanas with the 5-star votes on Google Maps. Also, thanks to the 99-percent of you who know how to relax when you come to this fine establishment. Though Mateo and family have college bills to pay, the money from the 1 percent who can't relax in this incredible slice of paradise isn't worth it.

Though the universe seems to be out of whack with rocks on the beach and no SEC team in the final, all three of you who care about such matters may come watch Michigan vs. Washington on Jan. 8.

CAFE NOTE
Laura and Roberto told Mateo the cafe will be closed today, Tuesday, Jan. 2, for one single day. Mateo says they deserve a break after putting on an incredible event Dec. 31.
On Sundays, our coffee friends present "Bar Calcetin," so please check with them for their specials, music schedule, prices, etc.

Reservations never required for normal nights, but please don't complain if you show up late and wonder why your favorite seat is not available.
For Tuesdays, one making a reservation must make it for 5 p.m. at the latest
For Thursdays and Fridays, one making a reservation must make it for 5:30 p.m. at the latest
For Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, one making a reservation must make it for 5:50 p.m. at the latest

RESERVATION METHODS
*Send Mateo a WhatsApp text message
*Call Mateo via regular phone call, not a WhatsApp call, and pray the phone gods are with him at the moment of your call
*Come to the bar in person during bar hours and ask for Mateo or Belen
*Carefully move rocks on the beach--without using machinery--to write your name, phone number, reservation date and time, number of people in your party
