Litter News You Can Use

The Delegado, Francisco, is happy to do what he can to reduce litter on La Manzanilla's streets and beach and thus help keep La Manzanilla beautiful and reduce garbage that washes into the bay during the rainy season. |
To that end, the Delegation's office has agreed to manage the lending library for litter grabbers (pinzas para basura) and buckets (cubos).
La Manzanilla Hermosa donated 8 grabbers and 10 buckets to the Delegation's office, which will check them out to anyone willing to do litter patrol or organize litter collection events. Also, the Delegation will use these tools for community events that they organize. La Manzanilla Hermosa will replace tools as they break down and will add more tools as needed.
To arrange to check out litter collection tools from the lending library, contact the Delegation's secretary, Esmerelda, at 315-351-5048 or firstname.lastname@example.org, if you are able to speak or write in Spanish. Usually, the Delegation's office is open Mon-Fri between 9 am to 3 pm.
In addition, the Delegado is working with La Manzanilla Hermosa on its public waste can project. We hope to strategically place about 10 cans soon, with many more to follow.
Our ultimate goal is to help make Bahia de Tenacatita the most plastic-free bay in the world. We believe we can do this, with everyone's help.
