Ambulance Activities--this could be you!

Many people have been asking me in the week since I’ve been back—just what the ambulance has been up to. The following is a quick summary of the services provided April through September. Service call paperwork is not yet available for October. |
There are lots of new, interesting updates about the ambulance going into the future as well, but I’ll tell you about those in a separate post.
7/04/2019: A man fell off a spiral staircase at a hotel in La Manz. He was transported to the Seguro Social clinic in Aguacate where he was treated for a head injury.
24/04/2019: A man was having an allergic attack to seafood. He was treated with an epi-pen and an intravenous solution of saline and hydrocortisone by Francisco and released.
29/04/2019: A man was suffering from a gastrointestinal infection and dehydration. He was transported to Dra. Marta and treated.
20/05/2019: The ambulance was called on to help at an event in Miguel Hidalgo for BIENESTAR.
20/05/2019: That morning—a man was suffering a diabetic attack and hypertension. He was transported to the hospital in Cihuátlan.
19/06/2019: The ambulance was called to help an 11 year-old girl who had been in a motorcycle accident. The girl was transported to the Centro de Salud in La Manz, and then on to the hospital in Cihuátlan to treat a fracture.
21/06/2019: A woman went into labor with a high risk pregnancy and was transported to the hospital in Cihuátlan.
22/06/2019: A call was received to help a man with gangrene in his right foot. He was transported to Echauri in Manzanillo.
24/07/2019: A woman was suffering from lesions on her head and arm. Francisco cleaned and bandaged the wounds.
29/07/2019: A man was suffering with lesions on his left knee, a high fever and possible sepsis. He was transported to the hospital in Manzanillo.
05/08/2019: The ambulance was called to assist with a drowning victim in Boca.
06/08/2019-16/08/2019: The ambulance assisted at a religious event, keeping watch over the crowds and monitoring the safety of the fireworks.
20/08/2019: A man fell off a ladder at his house. He was transported to the Centro de Salud, where he was treated by Dr. David.
27/08/2019: A man in Boca called in with a serious abrasion on his foot. He was treated and released.
15/09/2019: The ambulance was called to find and resuscitate a man in the hills of La Manzanilla. He was found and treated and released to his family.
19/09/2019-22/10/2019: The ambulance was called on to provide a number of services regarding Hurricane Lorena, from establishing bases in Boca, Los Ingenios, and La Manzanilla to organizing clean-up after the storm had passed.
I want to express my deep appreciation to Francisco for going on all these calls, often by himself. Good job, Francisco!
