I will be at La Playa this coming Saturday, 6/11, at 10:30 AM, for a cup of coffee. If interested in getting the group going a little early, please join me. Looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones.

We will not meet next Saturday as it is Xmas, and will decide today about New Year's Day. For sure, we will be meeting on Saturday, January 8; same place, same time.

A new kind of spam - MUST READ Posted by Moderator on February 12, 2022, 8:52 am, in reply to "Unethical Practices?" Thank you for the notification Jo Anna H, I have edited the post to eliminate the link but am going to leave it as an example of what has been happening for the past couple of weeks. It is a new kind of spam that blends in with the conversation. Very unlike the old spam that was easy to detect because it was almost always about some black market drugs or something similar. These new spams always have a link which could lead to a website which will infect your computer. I am pondering the options, this new algorithm may be what makes us go to a log in to post message board. In the meantime learn not to click on any link that you don't know who the poster is. This is a good habit to learn. Be vigilant, its a new and dangerous world we are living in on many fronts. I am a fairly vigilant person who has been on the message board for 10+ years. Never in that time have I seen so many unfamiliar names and wondered if it was a new surge of folks living in the area…maybe not⁉️ Why not request an address before doing the log in route⁉️ Either way is fine but let’s get it going as the message board is straying into unfamiliar territory.

And that is to help all of us learn not to click on unknown links, be they on the message board or by email. That with notifying the moderator of spam so it can be removed is the course of action, at least the next five minutes. I have edited the header of the message board with my email address to make notification easier. Your assistance is appreciated.
