Mary Jo will be there from 10-12 AM, and can help give you a tour of the show. So make that part of your shopping trip. It's a serene, beautiful gallery space away from the crowds.

Mary Jo and later Liat will be available to help with tour of the new show. Included is a NEW Art Library, named after Joanie Marlow, who donated her great library of Art books. Both instructional and desk top books. The library is an honor system with library cards to sign out books for 2 weeks. There are no copyright laws in MX, AS far as I know. I have copied a few books in Melaque and treasure even the copies! We now have a good copy place in LM across the street from XCALLI. Next door to Lidia. Hope I don't get in trouble for suggesting such a thing. But we rarely get to pick these books accept in Canada or USA. Come up and visit this Friday!

It is a bit hidden, being located on the second floor of Ada’s Bazaar. Currently, there is a show of artwork by 13 local artists. If you have lived here for a time, then it is likely you have run into them or know them. I was fortunate to have Carol Lopez tell a friend and me about all of the artists and their work. The artists include: Giovanni Hinton Christine Gribbin Nansee New Bonnie Griffith Ani Mac Liat Linda Koenig Susan Tenney Quesia Mendoza Figueroa Carol Lopez Mary Jo Oberg Phil Missellbrook Kathy Burgess Even if you cannot afford to purchase their work, I think they would appreciate people just taking the time to view their work. So many of them have supported our community in many ways.

I am a permanent resident of La Manzanilla.) Do come and visit as there is a lot of great art using a lot of different mediums.

Somehow, the number "13 Artists" was out there, and when Brandon asked me to check his list, when we got to 13, we quit! Sorry! I'm just heading over to Brandon's with a flash drive with the whole show recorded as a video/slide show, so it will be easy to see and promote everyone's work. Hope to get it posted from his computer this morning.

He’s putting time stamps, so you can locate the artists’ works individually. Meanwhile, Galeria 10 is open, upstairs from Ada’s Bazaar ( next to Marta’s Farmacia) a quiet retreat where you can rest your tianguis bags, and look at the art! Also, there is a new art library there - lots of books on different aspects of art. And it’s an on-your-honor lending library! Many thanks to Susan Davenport and her team of volunteers getting it up and running.

You will not be harassed by sales people. On the west end of the Gallery there are a couple of chairs and a table that you can rest at. Here is the link to the video by Ray Harper of the pieces of artwork. I have posted some timestamps trying to indicate the artist associated with the different pieces of work shown. If you have corrections or modifications please let me know. https://youtu.be/qjOFaGX1wug Maybe the video would be good for people who are unable physically to go to the show. But honestly, it's best to see things in person.

For those who don’t know about time stamps, look under the bottom right of the video. Open the little downward facing arrow, and on the right you will see all the time stamps for each artist. It means that if you can locate where each artists’ work begins.
