The contest being over, the winner would be the one closest one at that time. (Your time guess was after the close of the contest). So, the winner, logically, would be the guess closest one before the contest ended, which by pure circumstance is the one submitted by yours truly (6-15-22 @ 4:00 p.m.). But, I have no quarrel whatsoever if Daniel declares you the winner...

Mark S - June 15 4 p.m. - missed by 16 hours Mazinka - June 16, 5 pm - missed by 9 hours Contest closed June 16, 8 AM Mazinka's guess is closest to the event, there was no other quantifying rules in the guidelines. But you may continue to argue your position if you choose, just don't muddy the waters as lawyers who are loosing tend to do. "Guess the date and time we will hit the cumulative one inch of rain. No guess closer than one hour of a previous guess and no guess between 10 pm and 7 am. Please keep guesses to the whole hour (no 7:30 etc)."

I checked the guidelines and found no such stipulation and declared Mazinka the winner. Knowing you are a lawyer I invited you to present more evidence to support your position as long as you didn't intentionally try to make things confusing "muddy the waters". I didn't go off on some big tangent at that point, after all its just a silly guess the rain contest. But in truth I take those who intentionally try to confuse others very dimly. All was well until your next post where you not only validated that you do muddy the waters of truth to suit your personal situation but you taunted the justice loving community as a whole by saying that your doing so with a straight face is why lawyers get the big bucks. That prompted me to say "Obscuring the truth should never be tolerated. It is attempted by those who put personal gain above the goals of society, aka Vermin." I didn't think you could surprise me any further than you already had but stood corrected when you found it necessary to pull out the Hitler card as a defense. Context Mark, context. Pretty crazy shit, for sure.
