FOR TONIGHT AND EARLY MORNING, SPOT TORRENTIAL RAINS ARE FORECAST IN JALISCO, COLIMA AND MICHOACÁN, AS WELL AS SPOT INTENSE RAINS IN NAYARIT, GUERRERO, OAXACA, CHIAPAS AND VERACRUZ, WHICH COULD GENERATE SLIDES AND FLOODS
During tonight and early Sunday morning, Tropical Storm "Madeline" generated off the coast of Colima and Jalisco, in interaction with the remnants of Tropical Depression "Lester", will cause extraordinary punctual rains (accumulated above 250 mm in 24 hours) in areas of Michoacán, Guerrero and Oaxaca, punctual torrential rains in Colima and intense punctual rains in Jalisco and South Nayarit, as well as gusts of winds of 40 to 50 km/ h and waves of 2 to 4 m height on the coasts of Nayarit (south), Jalisco, Colima, Michoacán, Guerrero and Oaxaca. In turn, the cloud bands of "Madeline" and the remnants of "Lester" will produce a persistent inflow of moisture from the Pacific Ocean towards the center and west of the country, causing showers and strong to very strong punctual rains in said regions, including the Valley from Mexico. a low pressure channeloff the coasts of Tamaulipas and Veracruz, in combination with the entry of moisture from the Gulf of Mexico, they will cause intense punctual rains in Chiapas and Veracruz, very strong punctual rains in Puebla and Tabasco, as well as strong punctual rains in Tamaulipas and San Luis Potosí. On the other hand, the entry of humidity from the Caribbean Sea will cause showers with electric shocks in the states of the Yucatan Peninsula. The aforementioned rains will be accompanied by electric shocks and possible hail fall, they could also generate an increase in the levels of rivers and streams, as well as landslides and floods.
NOTE: "Lester" made landfall as a Tropical Depression around 1:00 p.m. (Central Mexico time) in the vicinity of Punta Maldonado, Gro.
For tomorrow, Sunday, the Tropical Storm "Madeline" of the Pacific Ocean will be located off the coast of Jalisco, its cloud bands will cause punctual torrential rains in areas of Jalisco, Colima and Michoacán; intense punctual in Nayarit, as well as strong winds and high waves on its coasts. Finally, the warm evening environment will continue over entities in the northwest, north, northeast, center and east of the Mexican Republic, with maximum hot temperatures, greater than 35°C, in areas of Baja California, Sonora, Sinaloa, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Nuevo Leon, Tamaulipas, Campeche and Yucatan.
