I have returned for year 4 of weekly massage by Mirella ‘s magical hands. I have chronic arthritis issues. This year I am recovering from hip replacement surgery. My deep recovery happens with her practiced assistance; she has learned multiple techniques, can go deep to work out knots and move stagnant energy as well as “mas suave” when I really just want to relax and be pampered. I communicate in fractured Spanish, she speaks better English than my Spanish. The bonus for me is the setting— a shaded palapa, gentle ocean breeze, waves crashing nearby, wonderful aromas. To access this tropical treat take the land bridge over to Crocodile Bar, someone will point you to Mirella’s signup sheet. Great food and place to hang out right by the ocean. What more could you ask for?

Norma, I don't mean to hijack your post re Mirella -- She is my massage person of choice here too. I agree totally: she's willing to listen ... a little more here, a little deeper there, a little less over here. I love that about her, and the place is perfect for sinking in to her treatment and to her intuitive hands. I would like to offer, to you, the suggestion of yoga to contribute to your healing. I had my first hip replacement in Guad about 7 years ago and the second in Canada 8 months later. The pain, the adjustment to another way of being, and the healing are familiar to me. I teach yoga here in La Manzanilla and certainly found that my practice was enormously beneficial in my healing. If you're interested in adding yoga to what you're already doing, please feel free to contact me, johope66@gmail.com 315-152-1606 ... or just pitch up at one of my classes ... Monday and Thursday mornings -- 9:00 - 10:30 on the top floor (beautiful palapa covering the space) at Casa Luz --all props are provided ... Calle Boca del Rio #75.
