We are posting this as a warning to everyone and in the hopes that someone may have information that could help us to recover items. Several people in several campgrounds in La Manzanilla were robbed, most likely during the night between Wednesday and Thursday this week. Police reports have been filed.
The thieves started, as far as we know, at the Horno del Catrin, and worked their way toward town. One witness believes it was a couple, with a fairly slim man and chunky woman, drunk, in their 30s, who made a beach fire in front of Las Tortugitas. They left a few of the stolen items there on the beach (probably had too much to carry).
Please let us know if you saw them or if you come across any of the stolen items. Items included:
--1 large orange and black rollerbag with a pull handle. This was a paddleboard bag with a logo reading "Imagine Compressor".
--Inside that bag was motorcycle riding gear (jerseys, armored mesh jackets, a FMF jacket, a 3/4 helmet, goggles, boots) and spare paddleboard fins and a few other spare parts for paddleboards.
--One old red backpack full of valuable tools
--A Bose speaker
--A brand new orange fishing rod and reel
--Size 13 Timberland shoes and Wolverine boots
--Tuning forks (for massage therapy)
--Massage oil
It appears that a motorscooter was also stolen, likely by the same people. It is possible that it was sighted in Rabelcito.
Y en espanal...mas o meno...
Queremos alertar todos des varios robos durante la noche de miércoles a jueves. Por favor, si alguien ha visto algo o sepa algo de esas cosas, que nos informa. Cosas han sido robadas en al menos 4 campings y las policías han sido advertidas.
Los ladrones han empezado con el Camping del Horno del Catrín y en seguida, robado cosas en otros campings hasta el pueblo. Una persona piensa que fuera una pareja, un delgado y una gorda, borrachos, que han hecho una fogata en la playa en frente de Las Tortuguitas. Han dejado algunas cosas del robo allí (tal vez tenían demasiado para llevar).
Por favor, díganos si han visto esas personas o si vean algunos de esas cosas:
--1 maleta/bolsa grande, naranja y negro, con cremallera y manilla para tirar. Era una bolsa para paddleboard (tabla de rema), con logo "Imagine Compressor".
--Al dentro de la bolsa había ropa y botas de moto (camisetas, chaquetas de malle negra con protecciones, una chaqueta negra “FMF”, un casco negro y rosa, gafas de moto, botas Wolverine, tamaña 13), y también repuestos para el paddle.
--Una viejo mochila rojo llena de herramientas
--Un altavoz Bose
--Una caña de pescar y carrete, naranja
--Zapatos “Timberland” tamaña 13
--Diapasones (para masaje)
--Aceite/crema para masaje
Y también, parece que un scooter de motor ha sido robado, probablemente para esas mismas personas. Y es posible que alguien haya visto esta moto a Rabelcito hoy.
