Regarding my post about lost Wallet. It was very stressful finding it missing this morning. Knew it had fallen out of my beach shorts pocket on a quick walk to the store yesterday evening. We moved to LA Manzanilla in 2019 for the people. The local people. Sure, we have a nice beach and endless summer temperatures. But since working at El Tamarindo in 94, it's the people that have kept drawing me back. This morning the locals stepped up and went out of their way to help me. Not only the locals. It was a family from Guadalajara that found it around 6 pm last night. They spread the word and even spent several hours searching for me. With the help of Chely from Cafe del Mar, the Padre at the church, Karen Rowley, Daniel and many others, my wallet and I were reunited. Romiero Mendez, one of the sons found it. And let me say, this family did not have much. I met them where they were staying out past the yellow bridge in very modest surroundings. I had just hit the ATM. Also some US cash and quite a bit of Costa Rican colones. It was all there. All of it! Sooooo thankful. That is why we live here. The people. Of this town and this country that never ceases to amaze me Thanks to all. Counting my blessings.
