Bus from PV Posted by Donna S on November 15, 2023, 9:50 am I am arriving in December en famille with 5 adults and a toddler. Wondering about the Autocamiones Pacifico Bus from PV to Melaque. a) Does it depart from the bus station near the airport? b) Is this a milk run? It appears from various websites that it makes fewer stops than Primera Plus and has a better schedule (leaves and arrives earlier than PP) But some say otherwise. Any advice is appreciated.

Re: Bus from PV Posted by Nigel on November 16, 2023, 8:03 am, in reply to "Bus from PV" Yep, did the milk run, not to bad really, takes an extra 2 hours, but almost 1/2 the price, seats are big, bus was clean, dropped us off at the highway, taxi down the road was 150 - a bit much but we were grateful, more options , took the 11:30 ish arrived 4:30 ish, depot same as primera near the airport. Helpful?

No taxi waiting at that time, walked to nearest store ( the paint store ) and ordered one. Sometimes the taxis are driving around and you can flag one. Alfredo, our taxi guy, very nice and took the time to help find our lodgings when the address was not so easy. Cheers. Oh, if you are bringing a Canadian phone, the new Telus Canada / US, Mexico system seems to work well here as they connect to Telcel , best carrier in this location as I am learning. Maybe the Bell, too. Freedom only ok for larger centers as they connect to AT&T, as I found out, live and learn ! WiFi calling, and what'app good as most places have free wifi.

Best to get off in Melaque and taxi back to La Manzanilla. It is only a 20 minute ride and you won't have to walk in from the highway. It would be a long trek in the dark.

But perhaps we can drop them off to take a cab at the junction and the rest of us can cab from Melaque with the luggage. We will be arriving in daylight.

Re: Bus from PV Posted by Martin on November 16, 2023, 12:24 pm, in reply to "Re: Bus from PV" I took the bus down from PV yesterday afternoon. The driver would not drop me at the entrance road (I had luggage in the hold) so I got off in Melaque. The taxi in to La MManx was 250 Pesos.

And did you arrange when you boarded to get dropped at the La Manz highway entrance? It would be great if we could do that and still get our luggage out of the hold!

Last week, I asked the driver (who collects the fare) if I could buy a ticket to Melaque but get off at the entrance to La Manz, which I did. Had no checked bags and couldn't use my INAPAM card. The buses arrive in Old Town about 40 minutes after departing the northern terminal.
