The senior boys played in the Telcel Cup in Leon last week. This tournament invited the top teams in their division from each state in Mexico including Mexico City. The La Manzanilla team represented all of Jalisco, a huge achievement in itself! The boys won their first match against the host state, Guanajuato, but unfortunately did not prevail in the 2nd and 3rd games against Baja California and Mexico City. However, they were thrilled to be in a national tournament and have great hopes for the future!
Uniform fund update! Thanks to all the donations so far, we have raised $16,320 pesos!! The total to outfit all 90 players on 5 teams is $24,470 pesos, so we need to raise an additional $8,150

Finally, Agape has distributed many of the soccer boots that were collected over the summer by Howie & Jenny and Connie & Spencer. Some will be in reserve for the kids that need them the most.
