Elephant in the room Posted by Bill W on December 16, 2023, 8:42 pm Well the weekend is here and Padrinos Bar is ramping up the music. Am I the only guy that is kept awake till 5 am every weekend with their beyond loud music? Yes, 5 am…..I have the luxury of changing rentals, but I feel for the local folks who have homes in the area. The locals I have spoken to hate it but nothing has been said or any action taken to my knowledge…. Apathetic? Fear of retribution? Looks like the elephant is here to stay

You’d be surprised how many times that has worked. Often there’s only a few people even there. Try it….

Re: Elephant in the room Posted by Brenda B on December 25, 2023, 2:29 pm, in reply to "Elephant in the room" Hi Bill, I think it best to change your rental location if you haven’t already A very reliable local says the local ‘mafia’ is into everything now in town, drugs, gas, cigarettes, wood, plants?, and now the nightclub scene. Last Saturday night was proof of that. In my humble opinion no one is going to ask them to tone it down in the near future so yes it looks like the elephant is here to stay.

NO Elephants here Posted by Mary Shanti on December 25, 2023, 5:05 pm, in reply to "Re: Elephant in the room" Have been right across the street for 17 years and when the Mafi came to town that is when the music was controlled, they want the tourist here. In case I need them I have very good ear plugs, we are in their country and Holidays are their way to celebrate. The day I see that their doors are open I go in and kindly ask them that after 11pm there is no music in town... so I am told the law says. If they would shut their doors and turn the music down a little it would be ever so nice. They always comply as they can still party without being offensive to others. It is their way they did not know. So if you are bothered, just stop in and nicely ask them no music after 11pm. If that does not work, and it always has for me, then go to the Delgado and ask for assistance, in a gentle way. If you need a set of ear plugs I will gladly share with you. They are wax and you can hear nothing thru them. Hope this helps solve your issue Merry Christmas to all
