Special thank you to the youth who helped out at last Friday’s Market / Tanguis
Thank you Cristina Valdez Prado and Getsemani Guzmán Jiménez
We plan to be back agin this Friday, Dec 22nd. Our table will be set up across from the south east corner of El Jardín near Café del Mar to sell mostly produce from the School Garden Project. We expect to have more of the local sweet potatoes 🍠 (camote), sweet potatoes pastries, lemongrass for that Thai dish you want to make. Hopefully a little lettuce and arugula too! If you have starfruit or other excess produce in your yard, it could be a wonderful donation to the project if we can sell it in the next few weeks while waiting for School Garden produce to mature.
LA CATALINA FOUNDATION Volunteers helped last week to rebuild a better barrier to prevent summer season rains from washing trash and rocks onto the garden beds.
5 of the 6 students were: Wendy Rosas Rojas Carlos Uriel Araiza Martínez Alan Israel Padilla Ramos Ana Sinaí Montes Chavarín Dulce María Magallón García
If you know any of them, PLEASE let them know you appreciate their work.
Hola Brandon, So nice to be back working in the soil at the School Garden. John Robert is doing an amazing job all summer and continuing now. Master gardeners Peter and Jackie are hard at work, I am just following their lead. Great way to spend time in la Manz, we give time and Mother Earth gives back. Shop the produce on Friday across from the Tianguis.
