some of us really enjoy playing against the best. From your post we can all agree that you are the rec ball hero ruining softball today. are you saying you have never hit bp before? i doubt that very seriously. If you really were old school, then you would be in the mindset that only the best get a trophy, not everyone gets a hug for trying. playing down your whole life to play and have fun with friends is your decision.... so there is no problem with that but dont come on the board and bash people for wanting to compete against better competition than the likes of you.

PS i am willing to be that most C players are just guys waiting for a chance to play conference. dont knock their hustle because they want bigger and better things than a picnic at the ballpark with their friends
