Tournament Fee:
The Tournament fee is $260. You will have to have an OK to play slip to show the umpires before you can play your 1st game. If your team has a discount coming for playing in either leg I or leg II TVSA Rings Series Tournaments, it will be marked down at registration. Coaches give yourself plenty of time to get everything taken care of before your 1st game.

Teams may pay any of the following ways: Credit Card, Company Check (No personal checks without prior approval), and Money Order, and of course Cash.

There will be silent auction tables set up with certified sports memorabilia. All proceeds benefit the Texas Veterans Sports Alliance. There will also be 2016 TVSA Rings Series Commemorative T-Shirts for purchase.

PLEASE READ: ALL FEES MUST BE PAID IN FULL BEFORE YOUR 1ST GAME CAN BE PLAYED. GIVE YOURSELF PLENTY OF TIME.
ALL PLAYERS MUST CHECK IN TO RECEIVE THEIR BRACLET ALLOWING THEM TO PLAY IN THEIR DIVISION. YOU WILL NEED A VALID PICTURE ID TO CHECK IN, NO EXCEPTIONS. AGAIN… YOU WILL NEED A VALID PHOTO ID TO CHECK IN, NO EXCEPTIONS. ONLY PLAYERS WEARING THE TVSA ISSUED BRACLET WILL BE ALLOWED ON THE FIELD. NO PLAYER WILL RECEIVE A BRACLET WITHOUT BEING ON A TEAMS ROSTER. MAKE SURE ALL PLAYERS GIVE THEMSELVES ENOUGH TIME TO GET CHECKED IN. TAKE INTO ACCOUNT WE WILL BE CHECKING IN OVER 900 PLAYERS THIS WEEKEND, YOUR TARDNEST IS NOT AN EXCUSE.
All brackets will be a double elimination guarantee bracket.
Rosters:
We will be going by rosters on-line, if your roster is not on line then you MUST EMAIL a legal roster to be used by midnight Wednesday July 6th 2016 to Ben Templeton at BTEMPL1@gmail.com and cc Barry@HoustonSportsplex.com & Eddie@TVSAHouston.org. If you do not have a roster turned in, you will not be allowed to check in/play. Make sure names and dates of birth are correct. We will allow a limited amount of write ins per team the day of if a player needs to be added to your roster. The player being written in must be present with a valid photo ID. Write ins will only be allowed BEFORE the teams 1st game only, so the player must check in with a valid ID before your 1st game or he/she will not be allowed to play this weekend. Teams are still subject to protest on the field, protest are $100 cash in the umpires hand BEFORE the UIC is called.
Teams can start with 8 players. One OUT will be given. You can start with 9 players without any outs. You can add up to 11 players. All home teams will be decided by a coin flip at home plate with the exception of the Championship games. Undefeated teams will be considered home teams for Championship games, with a coin flip if an “IF Game” is required.
Bats: Only approved USSSA stamped bats are legal.
Balls:
Only approved HSP Stamped Balls can be used. Balls are $6 in the concession stand.
Coed:
Coed format will be double elimination. The men’s to women’s count will be the usual TVSA “no more than two men per women count”. The minimum is a 6 men / 4 female count. If teams start with 9 players (missing a male or a female) they will take an out when that batter batters spot in the lineup until he/she arrives. This is an open coed bracket, no runs will be spotted and each gender will receive two home runs per game followed by an out.
Women’s:
Women’s will be played by the usual USSSA/LoneStar format you’re all used to. Spotted runs will be 2 runs per division and will be spotted at the beginning of the game.
Any team that uses any other ball, the penalty will be as follows:
1st Offense Team Warning
2nd Offense Batter is declared OUT
3rd Offense Team Forfeits that game.
Homerun Rules:
Men’s D - 4 Homeruns then an out
Men’s E – 2 Homerun then an out
Women’s – 2 Homeruns then an out
Co-Ed – 2 Homeruns per gender then an out
Umpires:
All games will use the two umpire system. We will not tolerate any team, or person abusing the umpires. PERIOD Umpires are $18 pay at the plate for the entire tournament.
1. Ejections – Fighting: Any ejection will cause said player to leave the field without incident. Said Players is suspended from that game. Said player will need approval from UIC to return to play in the tournament. Any person fighting will be suspended from HSP for a period deemed by HSP General Manager. Any person suspended from HSP may not come on any part of HSP property.
The following park rules are strictly enforced:
All persons using or visiting this facility do so at their own risk.
The owner, management, and employees are not responsible for any injuries.
No alcohol or illegal drugs shall be brought onto the premises.
No weapons or firearms shall be brought onto the premises.
No pets (Other than service dogs) are permitted onto the premises.
No cooking is permitted on HSP premises.
No bicycles, roller blades or skateboards onto the premises.
No coolers or drinks can be brought onto the premises.
No food or snacks of any kind can be brought onto the premises.
For safety concerns, all children must be supervised.
