Rene HAS played conference with ASP/JOCO a couple years back when they were "C" and "C" teams were still able to play conference. That team had a host of very talented players, many of which went on to play Conference "A" ball and higher. Cervantes, McBryde, Thornton, Prahm, Lobb, Brown, Evans, etc.
On LobbSter - still an excellent hitter that would hit .675+ on the conference circuit but on a break from the rigorous travel schedule. Which is probably a good thing for any potential roommates of his because he will literally destroy your room at 11pm if you decide not to go out with him.
Phil has always ran very good and competitive teams and this year's AM/PM is definitely one of his top 3.
They also feature, who I think is, a very underrated pitcher in Newcomb.
All that being said, AM/PM didn't sign up for the Texas Legends Major to win it. They signed up to get their young guys experience against the best in the country and state. With veteran experience, coaching, and a mix of youth I think AM/PM is gearing up for a legitimate run at C worlds.
Their ceiling with THIS Texas Legends bracket is PROBABLY 1-2 but that's no surprise to them. That's why they're also playing in Mansfield. Local "C" teams don't get great draws in Conference events.
Their list of possible opponents is full of good teams :
Classic Glass
C&R Express
Fence Brokers
Vivid (AKA Killbombers)
I think AM/PM is definitely a favorite this weekend in Mansfield, as they should be, they've earned that.
Keep playing hard guys and best of luck to ya'll this weekend.
Harry, Out.
