All softball players are invited to come out and participate in the Lone Star Softball Home Run Derby on Friday night, May 24, at Veterans Park in College Station.

The Derby will begin at approximately 7 p.m. immediately following the championship game of the Military N.I.T.

USSSA Military Program National Director Dustin Roberts will be in attendance.

The Texas Military Showcase is being hosted by Lone Star Softball and South Texas USSSA and is part of the City of College Station's Texas Weekend of Remembrance.

On Saturday, May 25, there will be activities all day long highlighted by a Remembrance Ceremony at 6:30 p.m. with a Keynote Address by Gold Star Family MaryKay & Bill Edwards. Also will be Roll Call, Ship Bell, Rifle Salute, Black Hawk flyover and more.

From 7:30 p.m. until midnight, there will be military booths & activities, food vendors and a concert featuring the Scooter Brown Band followed by Shane Smith & The Saints.
