Houston area softball teams are invited to kick off their Fall season with Spikes Shootout this coming weekend, Sept. 28-29, and it is for a very good cause.

For the fifth year in a row, the tournament will benefit Dog Rescue Shelters in Greater Houston with the assistance of local softball player and dog advocate Mark Cridland.

THREE-GAME GUARANTEE with all games played on the Turf fields at Big League Dreams.

Divisions offered Mens B, Mens C, Mens D, Mens E, Womens and Mixed.

First Place teams will receive a Paid Entry Fee to the Fall Budweiser Softball Festival.

First Place teams in each division will also get a set of game-ready Lone Star Full Sub Dye Jerseys from Premier Athletics.

Individual T-Shirts will also be awarded to members of the Top 4 teams in each division. While members of the First Place teams get the Jerseys, members of the Second Place teams will receive Individual Lone Star Softball Caps. The MVP will receive a 2018 Bat and the Gold Glove Winner will receive a new glove. All-Tournament Awards will also be presented.

Entry fee is only $275 and the deadline to enter is Tuesday, Sept. 24, at 5:00 p.m. or whenever the maximum number of teams is reached.
