Re: How does the shift from server‑browser communal play?

Hey everyone, I’ve been thinking about how games have changed over the years. Back when I used to play on browser-based servers with friends, you really got to know people, form little communities, and even have inside jokes. Now, with most games pushing matchmaking algorithms, I feel like that sense of belonging is kind of gone. Does anyone else feel like player identity gets lost when it’s all just quick matches with strangers?
