I clean my dryer vent every spring and fall without fail. Once I pulled out a giant clump of lint that was almost blocking the entire pipe. Since then I’ve been more careful about checking the hose connection behind the machine too. It only takes a few minutes but it makes a big difference in how well the dryer performs and how safe you feel using it.
