Welcome to the TVSA July Part II Ring Softball Tournament. We would like to thank everyone for participating in this 2nd phase of the Ring Tournament. We hope everyone has a great time. Game Times Listed at the bottom of the page.
PLEASE CONFIRM YOU HAVE RECEVIED YOU’RE GAME TIME VIA EMAIL. GAME TIMES LISTED AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS EMAIL. We don’t want teams not showing up.
I will email out brackets ONCE EVERY team confirmed via email.
Tournament Fee: The Tournament fee is $260. We will give you an OK to play slip to give the umpires before your 1st game. This will be a 3 game guarantee bracket for all men’s brackets. Rosters on line will be used for ALL protests. If your roster isn’t on USSSA, then you MUST turn in a roster prior to your 1st game.
Men’s D Championship: 11PM If Game Midnight. We have 2 C teams (BTX and Outta Control/New Era Sports). They will spot 3 runs to any D team. 2HR then an out. Bump rule is in effect. Only 3 C bumps.
Men’s E Championship: Midnight If Game 1AM. NO C players can be on any E teams. Bump rule is limited to 3 D players. 0 HR.
Co-Ed Championship Sunday is 4PM. If Game at 5pm. There is NO run spotting for this tournament. This is a double elimination bracket.
Payment Methods: Teams may pay any of the following ways: Credit Card, Company Check (No personal checks without prior approval), and Money Order, and of course Cash.
Rosters: We will be going by rosters on-line, if your roster is not on line then you MUST turn a roster in before your 1st game. We don’t need signatures of your players. Make sure names are correct. I have attached a roster form for those needing to turn in their rosters.
Teams can bat 12 players in this tournament. Teams can start with 8 players. One OUT will be given. You can start with 9 players without any outs. You can add up to 12 players.
Balls: Only approved HSP Stamped Balls can be used. Balls are $6 in the concession stand.
Any team that uses any other ball, the penalty will be as follows:
1st Offense Team Warning 2nd Offense Batter is declared OUT 3rd Offense Team Forfeits that game.
Homerun Rules: Men’s C/D - 2 Homerun Men’s E – 0 Homerun Co-Ed – 2 Homeruns Per Sex
Umpires: All games will use the two umpire system. We will not tolerate any team, or person abusing the umpires. PERIOD Umpires are $18 pay at the plate for the entire tournament.
1.NEW STAY AWAY RULE. If batted ball hits a defenseless pitcher or infielder, all offensive players must stay away from the bat. Any player who picks up the bat will be ejected from the game. If the bat makes its way back to the dugout, the game is over. Forfeit. The player or team could be suspended from Houston Sportsplex.
2.Legal Bat Rule: All bats must have the 2012 USSSA 1.20 BPF fingerprint stamp.
3.Batters Count: All batters will come to bat with a 1 ball and 1 strike. Batters will not get an extra foul ball any more. Once batter has 2 strikes, batted ball must be hit fair. No more extra foul balls.
4.Ejections – Fighting: Any ejection will cause said player to leave the field without incident. Said Players is suspended from that game. Said player will need approval from HSP management to return to play in the tournament. Any person fighting will be suspended from HSP for a period deemed by HSP General Manager. Any person suspended from HSP may not come on any part of HSP property. The following park rules are strictly enforced: •All persons using or visiting this facility do so at their own risk. •The owner, management, and employees are not responsible for any injuries. •No alcohol or illegal drugs shall be brought onto the premises. •No weapons or firearms shall be brought onto the premises. •No pets (Other than seeing eye dogs) are permitted onto the premises. •No bicycles, roller blades or skateboards onto the premises. •No coolers or drinks can be brought onto the premises. •No food or snacks of any kind can be brought onto the premises. •For safety concerns, all children must be supervised.
