I am picking up a team in Sept to play a very competitive tourney at the Waco Missions Sept 19th to knock off a team that has been winning this tourney for the last few years. I used to coach a team in Waco years ago who were ranked #1 in the state on this board for a couple of years before stepping down and retiring from coaching. I am very picky on the players I pickup based on my history and try to stay away from the scrub players that say they can play with the big boys. Anyway my resume as a coach from the past years speak for itself. Some players out there may know who I am and have played against my competitive teams in the past.
Now back to what I need. I need a solid 3rd baseman and a solid 1st baseman with base hitting abilities along with the long ball power.
This tourney is a lot of fun and kind of reminds me of the rabbit fest that is played in Copperas Cove,TX every year.
Tourney will give prizes away from 1st,2nd,and 3rd. T-Shirts, Plaques and 7 foot trophy for first. Homeruns are 4 and progressive.
