Howdy folks, I'm looking for a recommendation for an infielder's face mask. Comfort and weight are my two most important priorities. I'm not looking for the sturdier masks that many pitchers wear. Are there any infielders that wear them that could make a recommendation?
The backstory: I stay down on every ball. I had never been hit in the face, but was hit twice in one game this week. The second one tore a gash on my upper lip that basically left it flapping from the left corner of my mouth. I HATE the thought of wearing a mask on the infield, but I'm sitting here with quite a few stiches and know a mask will be my fastest way back to the game.
