Teams from across South Texas are invited to come and check out the State’s newest Turf Fields at the CORPUS CHRISTI SEASON OPENER being held next weekend, February 13-14, at STX Champion Park in Corpus Christi.
Teams from Houston, Austin, San Antonio, Victoria, Laredo and the Rio Grande Valley are all invited to take a trip to the Gulf Coast beach community.

Divisions being offered are Men’s C, Men’s D, Men’s E, Women and Co-ed.
The Corpus Christi Season Opener is a Lone Star Shootout sponsored event and USSSA State Qualifier Level Points will also be awarded to all teams.

The tournament has also been designated as one of the new "Ring Qualifiers" meaning the First Place in team in each division will win an Automatic Berth to Lone Star Shootout "Battle For The Rings" later this summer.
Lone Star Shootout Points will be awarded to ALL teams, which can help land an At-Large Berth to the “Battle For The Rings” later this summer.

First Place teams in each division will get a set of game-ready Lone Star Full Sub Dye Jerseys from Premier Athletics.
Individual T-Shirts will also be awarded to members of the Top 4 teams in each division. While members of the First Place teams get the Jerseys, members of the Second Place teams will receive Individual Lone Star Softball Caps. The MVP will receive a 2016 USSSA Bat and the Gold Glove Winner will receive a new glove. All-Tournament Awards will also be presented.
Entry fee is just $250 and the deadline to enter is Tuesday, Feb. 9, at 5:00 p.m. Brackets will be posted later that night.
