USSSA Hall Of Famer Brett “The Hitman” Helmer will be in North Texas next weekend, March 12-13, for the BRETT HELMER EASTON ALL-STAR CLASSIC at Big League Dreams in Mansfield, Texas.
Helmer holds the All-Time Home Run Record for the Men’s Major World Series. He is the National Promotions Manager for Easton Sports and has had several bats named after him. Here is a link to a 2012 video story about Brett Helmer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDKRkBbg7Yc
There will be a Home Run Derby on Friday night, March 11, which is open to all participants in the tournament. Brett Helmer will be in attendance and will hit against the winner of the derby. There will also be another popular Team Competition in the HR Derby.
ALL games in the tournament will be played on the Turf Fields at Big League Dreams. No games will be played at auxiliary complexes, like was done at Winter Worlds.
Divisions offered are Men’s B, Men’s C, Men’s D, Men’s E, Women’s and Mixed.
>>> WIN YOUR BERTH TO “BATTLE FOR THE RINGS” <<< The tournament has also been designated as one of the new "Ring Qualifiers" meaning the First Place in team in each division will win an Automatic Berth to Lone Star Shootout "Battle For The Rings" later this summer. Lone Star Shootout Points will be awarded to ALL teams, which can help land an At-Large Berth to the “Battle For The Rings” later this summer.
Individual T-Shirts will also be awarded to members of the Top 4 teams in each division. Members of the First Place teams get Easton Batting Jackets, members of the Second Place teams will receive Individual Easton Softball Caps. The MVP will receive a 2016 Easton Bat and the Gold Glove Winner will receive a new Easton glove. All-Tournament Awards will also be presented.
