Why do people make funny of E ball?

Isn't softball a hobby, I mean if you don't get paid to play why talk shit.

Because it should be for beginners

The E division will always make the most money due to the amount of teams that are allowed to play at that level. Unfortunately teams enjoy hanging around at that level for as long as they play. What makes no sense to me is though how many teams run a 5 man in E. If it's a true rec then people who hardly play softball wouldn't really know how to run it.

E is not just for beginners. Ball comes off way different and consistently in upper divisions. Just because some E teams can run a 5 man does not mean they should be playing up.

E ball isn't just for beginners, but it's not meant for reg way it's being played now. There should really be only a couple types of players playing E... guys just getting started, old guys at the end of their competitive career that just want to have fun and play some ball, and the occasional player that takes lots of time off in between playing. It's not meant to be the way it is now, with 8 of 11 batters capable of hitting it out, guys playing in E for 7-8 years despite having the talent to play up, etc.

Is what it is though.

You're so spot on with your post and say what you will but softball is not what it use to be. If you can play 5 man you should not be playing E and what I mean is your outfielders are probably more athletic than your normal E player and if you have 5 or guys that can go yard you probably shouldn't be playing E

So if you have the outfielders who can cover the ground but only have one guy in the lineup that can hit it out OCCASIONALLY. Once every 10 at bats, then what?

But lets be realistic about 9 times out of ten those or that team you speak of will probably go 2-2 at best
