Why doesn’t league city spread its divisions out two separate weekends like Mansfield does? I’m sure scheduling issues are part of it, but it’s something that could be thought of in the future to help get everyone to play at BLD and not other parks scattered around Houston.
Thanks for your input, but we use more auxiliary parks in Mansfield than we do in League City. (One year we had to use Softball World, Texas Star, Cedar Hill and Arlington in addition to BLD.)
There simply is just much more demand for Winter Worlds in North Texas and that is because LOTS of teams come in from West Texas/Panhandle, New Mexico, Colorado, Oklahoma, Kansas/Missouri (2nd most participants after Texas), Arkansas, Tennessee, Louisiana and even as far away as California, New York and New England.
More of these teams could play all of their games at BLD if they were more evenly distributed throughout the year.
But I guess the elevated USSSA Points to start off the year is what makes them insist on coming to that particular tournament.
Yeah, I guess I didn’t think about the other states coming to Mansfield. It’s bigger and nicer up there, plus more centrally located for a lot of out state teams. I’ve never played North Winter Worlds, so I was just curious! Preciate the response.
