After last winter, our wooden front door started sticking whenever it rained. The bottom edge also looked slightly swollen. I’m considering fiberglass this time. Are fiberglass entry doors really better at handling moisture and preventing warping?

A couple of years ago, we replaced our old cedar front door because it kept expanding during wet weather and was difficult to close. I wanted something that would look good and stay stable through Vancouver’s rainy seasons. These front doors Vancouver are stunning. We ordered a fiberglass model after reviewing several options, and the whole process was straightforward from measurement to installation. Since then, the door hasn’t swollen, warped, or required any adjustments. It still seals tightly, and the finish looks just as good as when it was installed. The entryway feels warmer, and maintenance has been minimal. Based on our experience, fiberglass has been much more reliable than wood in a damp climate.
