Early season C&R for bass

It is May 24 and this week, it finally started to happen. Several warm days this week have raised the water temperature (surface) from the mid 50's to almost the mid 60's. This moved the bass and panfish to shallower water to start the first major spawn. My guide trips this week have produced the biggest largemouth bass that five of the six folks had ever caught. It is always a pleasure to see the smile on a person's face when they catch a big fish and then release it to be caught another day. The next thirty to forty days should produce two spawns, and it is your opportunity to take a crack at catching a personal record. We have a full moon on 5/27, and late June, there will be another. The fish were all caught using soft plastic baits and tube jigs. Good luck and wear your life jacket. Frank
