I met Joe and his son David at the park entrance and we lauched the boat at first light. The wind was up early and there was a good chop on the water, but we made the run to Sampson to fish for some pike. I always catch some nice pike in this area so we made a long drift with no takers. We ran to Kashong, then Roy's and last to Glass Factory Bay. Joe caught 1 and David missede 2 nice pike and had a follow. It was a challenge in the wind.
We met at the same area on Sunday and went right to Glass Factory Bay. David broke off a nice SM bass and Joe lost one when it jumped. David lost a pike and I noticed he wasn't setting tje hook hard enough, so I coached him on the next hit and he boated his first big pike. Joe caught a nice pike at the north end and during the day they had some follows and caught a few bass. A fun pair to spend two days on the water with.
Be safe, wear your life vests.
