Honeoye lake water temperature on Saturday was 61 degrees and warmed during the day. The bass were very willing to bite and watermelon stikos and bass bones fooled them all day. The weather was perfect with warm temperatures and sunshine. A light breeze put just a ripple on the water and the bass were active. Jay and Jim, two clients, caught somewhere between 80 and 100 bass in 6 hrs. This is the perfect time to take a youngster fishing so they can learn what the bite feels like. By catching many fish, it will build a child's confidence and encourage them to go fishing again. Take a kid "catching".

Wear your life vest and practice safe boating. With high water conditions on most of the lakes and rivers, be careful of your boat wake. You are responsible for any damage that careless operation may cause.
