Wednesday June 29th, I took three gentlemen from Finland and Poland on their first bass fishing trip. Both of the Fins were experienced anglers and caught on quickly to the wacky rig. The Polish fellow had never fished, so it took him a while to get the system working, but by days end he had boated around 15 bass. Total bass boated was well over 70. Bass Pro Stikos in green-pumpkin was the primary bait. A fun afternoon and I learned much about their countries and families.
Thursday and Friday evenings I took some friends out and the bite was quite slow. Bill managed to boat a 20 inch largemouth and he caught several on top-water baits. Friday mirrored the previous night, but plastics took the most fish.
Saturday we had a two boat family trip and the bite was still off. Cora, who is nine caught 12 bass and her brother Tommy who is seven caught 11 bass. Mom and dad filled in the balance and the morning ended with around 45 bass. A fun family day. Stikos and baby brush hogs fooled most of the fish.
Good fishing
