We would like to thank everyone that fished with our service this year. Weather played some mean tricks on several local lakes, flooding Honeoye two times. The little lake was very good this year, all things considered, but on four or five different days customers had to work extremely hard to catch bass. A large amount of silt was washed into the lake and it took very little boat traffic or wind to make the water quite turbid. This also reduced visibility and the bass had trouble feeding by sight. Most bass, when caught, were on the skinny side. Please practice C & R on the larger fish as they are the seed stock for a future bass population.
Practice safety, wear your life jacket, maintain a proper lookout and maintain a speed that is compatible with the weather / water conditions. See you on the water in April.
