Fished Honeoye on Tuesday afternoon and the water temperature has dropped from 7 to 9 degrees. Depending on your location it will range from 71 to 73 degrees. The shallow bite was slow but the deeper fish were active. A dropshot rig fooled most of the deep bass.
Sodus was almost like a piece of glass on Thursday. We used several different baits and caught 25 to 30 nice largemouths. We spent about an hour in the big O and managed no smallmouth bass. The main lake surface temp. was 73 and so was the bay. We located most of the bay largemouth in 6-12 feet of water plunking weeds.
