Had a day off and went fishing on Honeoye with a good friend. This was just a relaxing day with no pressure to put customers on active fish. We headed south from the cottage and within 15 minutes, I managed to put two 5# plus toads in the boat. It was a sunny, hot, summer day with just a light breeze that made conditions tolerable. Almost every fish came on a doctored Zoom greenpumpkin brush hog. The water is very green, with slightly clearer conditions at the southern portion of the lake. Shaking the bait seemed to trigger many of the bites. I used a 3/16 worm weight and a 3/0 hook on 12# Bass Pro Excel line. |
Wear your life vest and good fishing.
