The 2013 musky season came in with a bang for us at Muddy Creek Fishing Guides. The weeds in the north basin are way behind for early July but they are growing quickly. The south basin has normal weed growth and is already a mess with floating debris and algae. We have been catching muskies in the north and south basins casting and trolling. Most of our larger fish have been caught casting. We have already had numerous fish in the 4 foot range and a beautiful 52 incher caught by clients casting. The casting fish have been caught on FatAZmusky products...Raptor Jerkbaits, Sloppy Swimbaits and Stinger Glidebaits. Most of our trolling fish have been small with only a couple trolling fish over 40 inches landed in our first 15 days on the water. This will change shortly as summer quickly gets into full swing and water temps begin to rise on the lake. Good Luck Fishing!Muddy Creek Fishing Guides
