Last night was some old codger doing really bad versions of classic rock favorites AND what I assume were self-penned parodies that included a Candle in the Wind parody about Osama bin Laden. The chorus was "you lived your life like a [something] in the sand" By the time I figured out he wasn't singing Candle in the Wind I couldn't make out what the [something] was, but I'm guessing it was offensive to Arabs, Muslims or both (like there's a difference, amiright?).
Also, he changed Margaritaville to Obamaville! "Some people claim that it's George W. to blame, but I know... it's Obama's fault." It was great.
He did an original about those darn youngsters always lookin' at there cell phones called "Blue Faced People" because the light from the phone makes their faces look blue.
I'm guessing this guy finds it difficult to hate someone unless they have a different skin tone than he, but I may be reading the song too closely.
All these songs were met with raucous applause from what I'm assuming were friends and family.
Best,
Tim.
