Joe, Sport-mod’s are nothing more than a glorified street stock with a modified body, full Monte Carlo frames and stock rear end location with stock trailing arms, these are IMCA cars; we run actual modified chassis here, stock frame stubs with half tubular frame in the rear. Being three links really puts both old and new chassis on a relatively level playing field, maybe even giving the advantage to the older cars that were designed to be three links from the manufacturer. My car is a ’96 Harris and I’m not worried about it at all. I’m more worried about people out spending me in the power plant and transmission, not the chassis. |
