They didnt bump it up to force you to not be lazy and get a coupon. Its the standard ticket price. And if you happen to feel like dropping by a napa and making the effort to open your car door and the store's door then they offer a discount. They dont force you to buy anything at the store to get the coupon either.

Cruces is $12. Ours is a $10 ticket (figuring you can open your car door and the door to the store to grab a few coupons) and $2 parking. Oh wait thats the same price. Oh, well they have more cars, and a better show... But they also have fan support. The track will struggle to make improvements for the fans when they can do nothing but complain and not patronize because its not good enough yet. Cruces doesnt make that track what it is with empty stands. The fans show up and the track gives back with good facilities.
