I moved here in the mid 80s and being a fevered race fan have seen the evolution of local racing as it is. The more things change the more they remain the same and it looks like we may be on the upswing again. With the addition of the local dirt track at NAPA speedway and the new generation of local racers supporting the existing facilities; life is good. Fact is: a new clay surface can pay for a new asphalt surface for my grandkids to race on. The ill feeling and discontent tward other aspects of racing breeds competition and we look forward to the evolution of racing at NAPA; thanks Charlie.
